If he fights you, wrap him very securely in a towel with only his head exposed, tuck him under one arm or place him in your lap and dispense the drops confidently and quickly, taking care you don't touch his eye with the dropper. Then a big praise/cuddling session, nice treat and a quick run outside or play session will help bleed out his tension from the encounter.
