Tinkerbell does very well in her crate. At night I put her to bed at 9 and she wakes up about 7a.m. Then I leave her while I take kids to school or run errands, often I'm away 4-5 hours. She has never had an accident in her crate. Quite frankly if i'm home during that time, she kind of just lays around and naps anyway. Then she's on the go for the rest of the day. I think 4-6 hours is ok, but 8 is quite long. I would want to set up a play pen with pee pad and food and water for that long.
