Volume of blood loss is difficult to estimate when it is on absorbant material....if it was on a tile floor, you could better guestimate how much blood was actually lost. The thing that would concern me would be lethargic behavior. If it was me, check hs gums for paleness, also if he is shivering....lethargy and pale gums would send me to the vet tonight, for lab work...they can check his Hb and Hct (Hemaglobin and hematocrit) which will give you blood count and let you know if he is anemic. I would check lab work tonight, simply because I know me and I would be awake all night worrying about ny pup. I would rather get a diagnosis and go from there.
