My boy is almost 3 and he's just now getting over it and not puking everywhere. The car seat didn't even help. For him it was just time and going to fun places, also if I would take him on really short rides before he got sick it would be so much easier the next trip. Then if he got sick we would have to start from the beginning. It's like he was more scared of getting sick then the actual ride and when he saw he wouldn't get sick he would actually look forward to going.
Giving him Pepcid before the ride also helped a lot. Now he doesn't need anything.
