It's a bit bulky, somewhat heavy and the handles end up digging into my shoulders. I ordered it online, and I wished I would have tried it out in person first. So, I cannot really recommend it.
I just ordered another carrier, which I tried on minus my pup, from a store called Zoomies in New York. It is much more like a tote bag and seemed so much lighter to carry.

The SoHo is a very nice bag, but I agree that it should be comfortable for the dog AND for us, lol. I didn't like that the SoHo sides need to be pushed down for the dog to see out. It definitely is a good concealing bag, though.
