Bogey was neutered at over a year old and he had one descended testicle at his neuter. My vet tried to fell to find it prior to surgery but it was not palpable and he might need a more expensive surgery but would try to push it down before doing a more invasive procedure. Luckily, he was able to retrieve it with a regular neuter incision and he did not need to do the more invasive procedure. Did your vet mention this at all to you?
