There are very many vets open on a Saturday!
Liquid Diarrehea in a very young pup is very concerning, coupled with no eating, is doubly even triply concering! What did you do, but go to a Petco to buy a Nutrical or similar supplement. If you knew anything about young puppies be they large or small breed dogs, you would have been on your way to a vet.
Now despite the obvious distress your pup was in, you elected to put him in a towel and not hightail to the vet, is quite distressing to me!
The morale of this story is; Don't buy too young pups Know the signs of distress in any young pup! Liquid Diarrehea and no eating is a distress SOS call for all young pups. Educate yourself on how to safely care for this little bundle of joy you have just purchased. And be ready to pay the vet bills to insure their good and long and healthy life.
Sure hope that you have learnt your lesson on the back of the life of this young puppy! |

I've seen many posts like this...and while I appreciate that they took the time to update us as many do not do....it doesn't change the fact that that poor pup suffered and died.....it quite possibly could have been saved if taken to a vet. It was irresponsible of #1 the breeder and #2 the OP. It was not a loose toenail....he should have been scooped up and taken to a vet before there was even a post....watery diarrehea and lack of appetite is never a good sign....in any animal of any age. You got some good advice....and I hope you continue to come here and ask questions and research before you decide to bring another pup home. |
I am going to make one statement on both of these posts then I am letting it go. Yes you are right, everyone will think what you both posted, but, don't you think the OP already knows this, don't you think the OP is beating them selves up over this. Don't you think the OP is suffering over this. Why would you both want to pour salt into an open wound. This is not what YT is supposed to be about.
