I hurt my toe a while back and I guess they don't consider that as true as they once did. Some toes have to be surgically repaired, and if they heal improperly the have to be rebroken and set again. It might be a good idea to see a doctor if it's still swollen.
I do understand what you mean, I've done many dangerous things in an attempt to save Joey. I dropped a knife once and stuck my foot out so that it would fall on my foot and not Joey, he wasn't even close! When they are little they follow you around all the time, this lessens as they get older and it's only if you have food. Anyway, hope you toe is on the mend and glad you are keeping Winnie safe!
