Elevated ALT can be indicative of SO many different things. I just recently had a foster pup in ICU with a level of 7,000. There were other elevations as well....he ended up with a diagnosis of cholangiohepatis. His ALT is down to 300 now and I am thrilled as are the vets.

Doing BATs is not a bad idea.

Try to relax....ALT can go up with just a small insult to the liver...it also can come down rather quickly. I have had many pups with elevations that ended up being not a big deal.

Please keep us posted!
