Thank you so much for the welcome.

The first signs I had was his low energy. Then he had a seizure. Then one afternoon in June of 05 he was unable to urinate. I rushed him to emergency where the inserted a tube to help him urinate and kept him overnight for testing. they confirmed it to be liver shunt. I wasn't given much hope until the next day when I went to my vet. She alos confirmed Liver Shunt. The surgery was over $1000 and they wouldn't promise any thing. My vet suggested the diet and the antibiotic and he immedietly gained a whole pound in 3 weeks time.

As to his eating the food. I guess I'm very blessed. He really likes it. It's a prescription diet we get from our vet. I don't give him any table food at all.
