Patients. Lots of patients. Sometimes putting a toy in front of them is enough, but other pups just need to come to it on their own. Kaji did not like me trying to engage him in play with toys. It took a few months, and once he trusted me, he engaged me in a game of chase. A few months after that, he started playing with a tennis ball that my mom randomly left in the living room. I guess sometimes, they just need to come to it on their own. Now his favorite past times are fetch, and hide and seek. He still hasn't gotten the hang of tug though. :/
