I think it varies from dog to dog..
Jewel was up and running and jumping as soon as we brought her home, on the same day as her surgery!
Jazzie on the other hand is such a drama queen. She moaned and groaned, we babied her then as soon as we went to the kitched to make dinner she's 100% recovered! A few minutes later she's back to the "Oh, I'm so helpless, please bring me some water.." mode again! She actually milked it for about 3 days!
