Making sure the pups are registered AKC is important because the AKC does the best job of monitoring breeders and they wont register mixes so at least you do know you are getting a purebred which you cant ensure with other registries. I doesnt mean you have a good breeder though you are still going to have to research your breeder and make sure they meet the criteria of what is important in a breeder. My Breeder registered her pups AKC but she also let them go at 7 weeks. She never mentioned health testing and her health guarantee was for 72 hrs so she wasnt a good breeder at all but I wasnt an experienced yorkie buyer either because it was my place to make sure she met certain criteria. |
