This is a dumb question but do ticks jump like fleas or do they just crawl?
The cabin we are staying at has washer and dryer, if I take my clothes off and wash them does that get rid of any ticks on my clothes?
Ticks are so tiny how do you see them on a dog? Do they crawl once they get on a dog or just bite and stay where they are?

Because they are gross and carry disease. I feel the same way about them.
Ticks do not move as fast as fleas and do not jump. They are easy to catch, although the smallest of them can be difficult to spot. Teddy had one that looked like a speck of dirt under his eye.
I use tweezers to catch and remove the tick. Then I put the tick in a ziplock bag with rubbing alcohol to make sure it dies.
