Yeah, I agree with this too, again I think the AKC does a good job, but their specialty is record keeping and it's the only registry that really cares about the "purity of the breed of the dogs, they do genetic testing. Other registries just take the breeders word for it. So if you want a purebred, you'll have a better chance of getting one if the breeder is a member of the AKC.
