I had 2 that were spayed. They had no side affects still wanted to jump on the sofa as soon as they came home, their behavior and personalities did not change, there was no weight gain, there was also no table food given, they had one treat a day which was a jerky strip only if they ate all their food, treat was always given after they finished eating. My pups at adult weight was 13 lbs, the other was 17 lbs. Both had beautiful slim bodies. I believe it is the hand outs, and table food that puts the weight on, not spaying.
