I'm with Nancy in that AKC will sell an ad to anyone who's registering a litter. YTCA was once the gold standard but has lost members and prestige in recent years because of their own infighting. It's still a good place to start a search, but be careful not to fall prey to some members whose only interest in the club is the higher price their directory listing can command for them. Proceed slowly, communicate with breeders, establish rapport, check references and reconcile their standards to your expectations. |
