I too recommend the YTCA, when I first came to Yorkietalk, I had no idea on how to find a dog. Someone mentioned the Yorkshire Terrier club of America and I'm so glad that they did. It's the mother club of the Yorkie and breeders who belong must be breeding for several years and promise to abide by certain ethical standards. Of course, not every breeder who belongs is great, but you can find some great ones who belong I recommend it because they have members in nearly every state and most people can visit the home in person. This is extremely important, otherwise, you don't know how the breeding pair are being kept. While Yorkietalk also has some good breeders, anyone can join Yorkietalk and some breeders join just to sell dogs. Yorkietalk has in the past had members who were horrific breeders, so please be careful if you go that route. Some people will recommend a breeder even though there own dog is still just a pup and they have no way of knowing if it's healthy yet. Best of luck! In the library we have several guides on how to choose a breeder. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...e-breeder.html The link in my signature takes you to a breeder referral for the YTCA.
