Default Roomba

Thank you, you are most welcome. With all the paw and foot traffic I find that I need to use the big vac on carpets and mop the hard floors now and again, as well as the Roomba. If you have only light soiling you may not need the extra cleaning.
There are various models, I have the 650, and the model you choose will depend on what you need from the machine. The VW is not essential I found, and I just close a door or put down some mechanical barrier if I don't want the robot to go there. As I said before the dirt capacity and filter clogging limits the area it can cover before cleaning them out. Carpets tend to clog up the filter more quickly than the hard floors. It is easy to clean and worth doing frequently for more efficient operation. (Unless you have a very CLEAN house, LOL!) Good Luck and I am sure you will enjoy owning and using it. :-)
