This has been one of my biggest fears since we got Puff. She weighs 6.5-7 lbs but never goes outside unless she's got on her Buddy Belt harness and a leash, or someone carrying her. It amazes me that people don't think of this!
Last summer I decided that we were going to start taking the pups to daycare a few days a week. We went on the tour and everything was great (this is the biggest and most established doggy daycare in the area) and I asked about predatory birds and what precautions they take. He replied that in 10 years nobody had ever asked that question! Even worse, he had no answer for me since it had never come up! We never went back.
Seeing my baby carried off by a bird is something that I know in my heart I would NEVER recover from!
