My carin terrier came to me in the exact same way. My husband and I had been talking about getting a dog for quite some time. So, I was at the pet store looking at books/magazines (my own research), and there he was. This poor little guy had been at the pet store, in that little plastic box for nearly 4 months. I wasn't sure I was quite ready for a dog, but once we spent sometime (almost 1.5 hours before he finally calmed down) together in the "holding room", I knew he had to go home with me "TODAY". I can imagine why no one would give him the time; he had been boxed so long, he was almost wild. I love him to death, and wouldn't change a thing. I'm so glad we found each other.
