Congratulations on your baby. Yorkie ears generally stand, but they look adorable also when they don't. Part of is genetic, but the weight of the hair can also pull them down. The top third of the ear is generally shaved, but to help a pup's ears to stand, you can shave the top half of the ears. Sometimes people tape the ears to help them stand, but often that's not necessary.

It's best to combine neutering with having any retained baby teeth pulled. I prefer to wait until their growth plates are closed, but neutering is very safe with today's anesthesia.
