Hello all.

Just joined this great group this evening! I am not sure where to post a message regarding reputable places to find a forever friend....

I've been visiting this site for a while and finding such great info! I grew up with Yorkies in the 60's and 70's....we always had a "baby"and a large dog of some kind too, and it always amazed me how the Yorkie was consistently the one "in charge".

I have two grown children and two boys, twins who are 12, and everyone is self sufficient enough at last that I can welcome another Yorkie to love and have as my companion! We have a fat cat named Tucker and an elderly Golden Retriever named Gracie. We lost Gracie's littermate and sister earlier this summer to cancer.

We live in Austin TX. I am mortally terrified of doing business with an unscrupulous breeder. I have not consulted my vet yet, (just moving forward with this idea this past week or so), but I thought you guys might be able to point me in the right direction.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
