I have an IPad but it is only on IOS 7. I read on a Mac site somewhere that the IOS 8 system requires huge amounts of memory and that many people had to delete much of their photos and content in order to load the 8 . If that is the case it would be possible that weird things happen if you run out of memory after attempting to load the 8?
Knowing this I would not load the 8 on my IPad!
