Funny you say that....I still have the IPhone 4S and my daughter has the 5. She told me yesterday that there was a new update but to not update mine. She states that it's mainly for the IPhone 5. So I didn't update it. I have an Ipad and now I'm not sure about updating that because of what you said happened. I'll just wait and see if others have had the same problem as you.
