Wow lots of dogs on pepcid...I wonder why?!
This is Turbo's story. His case was very different, very unusual. He would vomit yellow bile, sometimes in the morning, or afternoon, even @ night! Sometimes there would be some food mixed in or just white foam, basically, he was vomiting all the time, everywhere!
I tried pepcid ac, tagamet (both vet prescribed), nothing worked. Did some research & found that when dogs are intolerant of a food(s), they throw up. I was wondering if there was a test for food sensitivity/ intolerance since there is one for allergies & someone posted about Dr Jean Dodds' NutriScan test. I ordered it, got Turbo's saliva sample, sent it back in & got the test results in a week.
He was intolerant/ sensitive to chicken, turkey, venison, white fish...all the proteins I was giving him! He wasn't sensitive to any grains like corn or oats, was ok w/potatoes, pumpkin, etc. Now I avoid those proteins & he has not thrown up! It was the answer for us & the best thing I did for him. |
