Default Puppy Isn't Gaining Weight

I'm terrified that my little Derby isn't gaining any weight. We purchased him from a reputable breeder (one we have used before) at 9 weeks old. At 9 weeks, he was 1lb 11oz and on track to be 4.5-5lb adult weight using the growth charts. HOWEVER, now he is 17 weeks old and STILL weights exactly the same thing - 1lb 11oz. He is completely healthy otherwise. High energy, plays, runs, etc. He's coordinated. No lethargy, no vomiting, no diarrhea. He isn't skinny... feels solid for his tiny tiny frame. His daddy is only 2.5lbs, mother is 7lbs. So... I'm thinking he's okay and will just end up small like his dad, but I would think even a tiny yorkie would at least gain SOMETHING during the 2-4months of age. Right???? Vet says with yorkies, you wonder about liver shunt and that stunted growth is one of those symptoms, but it is generally accompanied by other neurological symptoms that Derby just isn't presenting with. The vet is just going to look closely at his bloodwork that they do before neutering in a couple months. She doesn't seem concerned since he is otherwise a healthy furbaby. Does anybody have any thoughts on why he isn't gaining anything??? I feed him a high quality dry food (Wellness CORE puppy) and he eats, drinks, stools, urinates normally. HELP ME NOT WORRY! Thank you! This is my first post, but I read all the forums on there all the time. Love Yorkie Talk!
