I am considering getting another Yorkie but I do not want to go back to the breeder from where I got Teddy. Not because I dislike the breeder or anything..
However, after I purchased Teddy, she sent me home with a short autobiography about her personal life, how she got into showing and breeding etc. One thing she mentioned on her autobiography is that, despite her years of experience etc., she cannot seem to breed the correct coat.
This is evident as Teddy has very cottony fur and when I asked her about grooming it, having had Teddy for a few weeks, she was sort of defensive about it. I wasn't challenging her expertise but I had never had a cotton coat Yorkie before so wanted to see if there were any products she could recommend but all I got from her was, "I thought you had Yorkies before and you mustn't hurt him..."
SO, I'd ideally like to approach another breeder who has a proven record with the correct coat type, temperament etc.
Is this something you think you could help with?
