Wink Listening issues. Of course!

I trained Cali to respond to a few commands, such as 'sit', 'lay down', and 'speak'. I trained her with food, because that's about her only motivator in life.

Pretty much she will only respond if she knows you are holding a treat! And she will not hold the command. Meaning I will say 'Sit!' and she gets so worked up and excited that she is wiggling all around and she will quickly sit then bounce back up wanting her treat. If it's something REALLY good (like say, steak or a piece of chicken liver) she will get upset and BARKBARKBARKBARK and growl demanding it to be given to her without completing the trick. In these instances, she doesn't get her treat

Any ideas? I'd like her to listen regardless of whether or not she is going to get food, and stay in the command longer than .2 seconds!
