I normally do not do pranks, as I hate it when they are done to me.......but I have been involved with several.

#1. We put vaseline under the door handles of our friends cars - so when they opened the doors, their hands got covered with the goo.

#2. Some coworkers and I put an ad in our local university paper (back when I worked out of the home) for an SUV - our boss drive a new SUV and we described it in detail and had it listed really cheap with his number - he got tons of calls, but took awhile before he caught on.

#3 Same coworkers and I got ahold of some campus parking tickets and we would put them on fellow coworkers cars - they looked real, until you turned them over to see that they were not actual tickets. - its funny to see their reactions and see what they do with the ticket (some put it on other cars)!

#4 Growing up, I had a real fear of werewolves (don't know where that came from) and my dad had a werewolf mask that looked so real. He would hide outside when we would come home at night from a date or work and either be under the porch, at the corner of the house or by the other car, etc. Sometimes he would jump up and start chasing us or sometimes he would be carefully walking behind us until we noticed he was there! You would think after all the times he did that, we would get use to it, but he scared us every time!! - probably the reason I hate to be by myself outside at night now! HA! - good ol Dad!!!
