It's advised to keep the food in the original bag it came in. It's designed to keep the food fresh for longer. Make sure the air is rolled out of the bag, If it doesn't have a zip lock closure, tape it up. Make sure no air or bugs can get in there & store in a cool dry place. So it would be ideal to get a storage container just for dog food.
