In my opinion, 8-9 hours per day alone at 14 weeks old is just too long, especially in a place that she isn't used to/doesn't like/associates with you being gone a loooong time But obviously your littlie has to be confined (for her sake, chewing-wise, not just pottying-wise!).

When our Harry was your little baby's age, we set up a HUGE playpen with his crate within it. The playpen was half the size of our kitchen - and the crate itself had it's door left open as his little den. That gave him the option to go in and out, play or eat, potty or not - have room and space to breathe and move....

I truly wish you luck Sally x
I agree with Harrysmum, 8-9 hours is too long to leave a 14 week pup alone. Is there some way you could come home at lunch to give her some play time? If not, could you hire someone or have a friend do it?

As far as the crate goes, I always tossed treat & toys in so my guys associated the crate with good things. Good luck with your new little one!
