I have two Yorkies two from the same litter Mike and Zach I think two are great and they have each other when I am not around But I need to tell you that when you put dogs together it changes their behavior and their relationship in the family Dogs are just wired that way Immediately one has to become dominant That might be a smooth or a rough transition When you put them together as pups its always easier
There will be fights .... Even under the best circumstances over toys .... Or bones or biscuits Most of the time they will sort it out on their own but if it gets violent or it happens frequently you will have to intervene. Just like with kids they will each have their own personality One of mine is type A high strung all the way .... My Mike on the other hand is a dogs version of a slacker
I think two is better than one but its more than one dog plus one dog
