I have a 14 week old puppy that I got when she was 7 weeks old. The breeder I bought her from never kenneled any of her dogs, so my baby was not used to a kennel when I got her. With my commute I work about 8-9 hours a day and she cannot be alone in the house for this amount of time, so I kennel her.

At first she just cried in her kennel, as I assumed she would to get used to being alone. But now she is learning when I am ready to put her in the kennel and she runs. It breaks my heart that she hates it so much, as I have had another Yorkie who loved her kennel.

Her kennel is big enough for her food and water, a toy, and for her to have a place to potty on a pad and sleep away from it. I know the general rule is for them to have just enough room to turn around in, but I didn't think this was fair to her since she would be in there long hours.

I take full responsibility for her hating her kennel, I just want suggestions on how to make her love it, sooner rather than later!
