Well, that gives me some hope then since it's only been a month. Cleo (the cat) lost her lifelong partner in crime a little over a year ago so I know she's been missing him, plus she's had our undivided attention til now so I know there's some jealousy stuff going on. She has free movement through the entire house and our bedroom is her space, no Dex allowed! But she no longer comes to cuddle on the couch in the evening because
that puppy is there.
He tries so hard too to get her to play. He brings her his favourite toys, he gets down on his tummy and does the head tilt thing and 'oofs' at her. He rarely barks, he just does this adorable little 'oof' thing when he wants to play

She just hisses and stalks away. She's bopped him on the head a few times (claws in) when he's been too aggressive, but she yells at him a LOT.
I'm holding out hope that when his puppy energy abates a bit that maybe she'll relax around him.
