I had different plans too (I was worried about her safety in the bed- she lives in it now!) I personally think it would be best to wait until Chester is really well trained and socialized and potty trained before adding another pup so he can be the big brother and set the example, so your bond is built and right and safe and you are the unquestioned pack leader. But I have only one dog and think my Lilah (2 yrs old in December) will get a sister next spring and she has been with us since she was twelve weeks old. I think it is a good plan to have groomjng and hygeine routines already established etc etc before adding another pup but again we are singletons so far so I will have to just let you know how that goes for us cause I'm not there yet!
