the advice the others gave you I agree with an think is good. I would defiantly try the treat thing. Its just something she has to learn. she dosnt realize this is a little one and cant play as long as her.
As for the growling, you probably just have a very vocal girl. My athena is like that to. When we first brought her home at SIX WEEK OLD I use to get so worried because she growled like crazy at her bigger brother an looked like she was trying to tear him apart despite her tiny self. LOL "SHES A TERRIER" thats what I learned real quick and she was simply acting like a terrier. Despite the way they played, they loved each other to death. Zeus was very protective of her ( not aggressively) but he slept with her to keep her warm, got upset when I took her to the vet, and when we got back had to check her over and make sure she was ok. To this day they are the best of friends. Athena is now 8 months old. |
Yes. I do believe Lexi is just very vocal. When i first got her she would growl like crazy if i held her back from other dogs and she still does. You would think by the way she sounded that she wanted to attack, but she is not aggressive at all, she just wants me to put her down to play! Lexi actually did great tonight. When i would see her back off of parker i would give her a lot of praise. The growling is still there, but i don't think that will change and parker is going after Lexi too. Now if i can get Lexi to stop taking every toy away from parker he is trying to play with lol.
