 New puppy problems
We introduced a new Shih Tzu puppy to Lexi yesterday. Lexi is also still a puppy (8 months old). Things went pretty well, except with playing. When they start play fighting Lexi growls constantly. I'm not too concerned with a little growling because she even did this when I would play tug-o-war with her. But Lexi will constantly pounce on and bite at (play biting, it looks like) the new puppy and will not let up even when the new pup is trying to get away. When the new puppy eats or drinking Lexi will not bother him and will even eat and drink with him sometimes. I know Lexi doesn't hate the new puppy, but it's like she just doesn't know when to stop. Should I be concerned and stop the behavior? I've never had 2 dogs before and don't really know what's 'normal". Thanks! |
