When I lost Presley who was 17 1/2 - I was devastated. The house was empty. Even though I thought I wanted time without a dog, my heart needed to love one. So I decided to get a new one and she has helped me heal. Not that I don't miss Presley every moment of every day - it is easier to be without him with my new love, Ripley.
