I have a little one myself-3 lbs, 1.5 years... Even tho I don't let her out of my sight, I realize that bleep happens, dogs get lost/stolen, etc everyday and for me, I want every tool to recover her that I can use. I have collars and id tags on her at all times, and yes, she's chipped. I've had it scanned twice in the last year to make sure it's a) in the same place and b) is working properly.

There's already plenty of risks for these little ones, that to me, the benefits of her being chipped, outweighed the risks. I understand it's different for everyone, but for me, I was more comfortable with her being chipped than without.

I'm also looking unto gps id/recovery tags... Maybe it's overkill and sure it's relying on the goodwill and honesty of strangers, but if Billi ever wound up in the hands of someone willing to return her, I want them to have plenty of options to do so and make it as easy as possible to get her back!
