I'm thinking, bad breeder or not, this guy is going to have to live somewhere. And she's letting him go at 6.5 weeks regardless if I take him, or someone else does. So, I have the means, the time, and the dedication. So I'll put my big girl panties on and do what I have to so this little puppy has a chance. If she hadn't already sold the other three, I would try to rescue them as well. (GASP!) |
No one is bashing you they are bashing the breeder. Yes you should run your not going to so besides telling you that we are also trying to warn you of all these things just so you go into this knowing what could happen. Several have given advise for when you bring him home. I still think your best bet is to try and get her to let the mom stay with you for a bit. The pup will need someone around 24 hours, to be fed every couple of hours, to be kept warm, away from places where other dogs and wildlife go, if there seems to be any issues you need to waste no time getting to the vet. We are warning you about what could happen because we have seen things go very wrong with puppies that young and cause lots of heart break.
