I work as a vet assistant. From what I understand from listening to our vets talking to clients, allergies are a lot less common in really young dogs but it definitely is possible. I'll ask the obvious question. Is your pup on a good flea prevention and applied monthly? Dogs with flea allergies can go absolutely crazy itching with very minimal fleas. That wouldn't have anything to do with the cough though. Have any of the vets that you have been to, recommended xrays. Collapsing trachea can usually be seen on an xray. If not, I would ask for some. Good luck. |
