I first just used the puppy pads inside with Peanut but he now perfers to go outside. We try to go for a walk in the park every day and both dogs really enjoy it. I was really suprised at about 3 months when he started to heist his leg. That was one thing that is not so good that he learned from our schnauzer and she's a girl. We have a doggie door out to a small side yard that we have for our schnauzer and he is learning to use that. He will come in the doggie door just fine but doesn't like to go out it. He will stand in front of it and scratch it but I think because he can't see what's on the other side, he is leary about going out. I'm sure it won't be long before he's running in and out though.
