I'm sure there are many exceptions out there to those who can't be crate-trained by their owner/guardian but each of us on YT can only speak to our own training and times with troubled dogs. Still, in my own personal experience with the dogs I've had here in this house, not on paper but real-life re-association/desensitization training, even the wildest, most fearful and most claustrophobic dogs I ever dealt with was in time trained to accept spending time in a crate.
Oh, Linda, your description of sitting with and paying for a vet tech to sit with a poor, frightened dog at the vet just fills my heart and re-affirms in my mind what a special lady ladyjane is for any troubled dog who comes her way. God bless you and that blessed Yorkie Haven Rescue.
