Ouch! Would've never thought Huey would do such a thing!

I use the small Madan pin brush, for everything. I put the brush vertically & brush down the side of their muzzle. It smooths out the hair & doesn't pull out their thinker whiskers like a comb would. If your pup is wiggly, the wooden pin brush would be a better option so it doesn't accidentally poke them in the eye. I mean, if it does, a wooden pin would do less damage than the steel pins. You can use your finger to cover their eye too.
My guys are used to me brushing their face, so they just sit there very nicely & once we're done, I let them down from my lap & they start rubbing all over the place, messing up their nicely brushed hair.
