Hmmm. You're very knowledgable but now I'm confused on what to do. The Andis I have are ok and now I think that the Oster or any 5-in-1 blade set will probably not work (as these mostly come in 9, 10, 15, 30, and 40. My Yorkie has a short hair coat (not silky) and I would be stuck because his body/hair would be left bare with the higher number blades alone (as you mentioned) and I won't be able to use the comb attachments.

I had previously tried using the combs attachments that came with my Andis clipper but it doesn't work because there is not enough hair on his body for the comb to catch even to start with (and he's a very small size). I view these comb attachments better for medium to larger size dogs that have a lot of hair on them to begin with.

Anyway, I have to think of what to do.
