I believe that may work. I will try it. I forgot to place in my first post that she doesn't act this way when I'm not in the office - essentially when she's alone, there is no problem with people coming in or out of my office. So, I believe you are correct that she feels she needs to protect me. (Which if you knew my office environment, you'd REALLY understand why she would feel this way!) Thank you for your advice!
