Hi and welcome to YT. I know I go roughly by the feeding chart on the bag to determine the amount because all dog food has a different calorie count. In the beginning was overfeeding Buster and he became obese because I was giving to many treats on top of his food. Since the treats are mostly filler and do not have the nutrition of kibble I started giving him kibble for his treats. He's happy and after a year on a diet where he is now at a normal weight I am happy too. Since Carly is a puppy it is very important to get the best nutrition while growing. I know I did not really answer your question because it is determined by your dogs weight and the calorie content of your food. Hopefully others will add their ideas.
