Do you have any soft canned food? He may not be eating due to pain, or it could be his tummy is upset. So long as he's getting water in, that's good, but I'd encourage him to eat little bites.

Billi makes me feed her by hand when she's not feeling good. Maybe try feeding him a couple bites like that to get his strength up...
