I don't know why Huey's behavior is getting worse with grooming, but he is wearing me out. Today I came away bleeding (just a little). I will not let him win, I am the boss, and the session doesn't end until he is acting right, but DANG! It is the face that is so bad. He is fine with the rest of his body. I take very extra special care to not pull his facial hair, but he has gotten in the habit of jerking away, and of course that causes the knots to pull, no matter how careful I am being. If he wasn't so cute with his long hair he would be in a puppy cut in an instant ... well that, and the fact that my husband would probably lock me out of the house if I cut his dog's hair off.
